夜雨延晨岸，彤云叠彩暾。
三洲楼阔架，仰泳避东暄。
顺水浮标刻，归途自在存。
珑眉伶俐齿，舞蹈小桃萱。

Night-rain doth cling, O shore, unto thy sod,
Thy blushing dawn through crimson clouds doth nod.
Broad Sanchow’s towers aloft their fabric rod,
Supine I glide to shun thine eastern nod.
Thou tide from southeast driv’st my buoyed road,
Two minutes more homeward, calm hath its abode.
Long runs at morn, soft lisp upon his load,
Peachbloom, dance done, cometh her grandsire to bode.
Thou heaven, thou sea, ye breathe the old sage’s lay,
Where East wind’s grace in mild warm peace doth stay.
Thy breadth doth teach what quiet bliss doth sway,
Yet babe’s soft greeting outshines thine array.
All wave and mist mine aged heart doth sway,
Their gentle speech is peace’s perfect stay.
